Steve LeWinter worked at an investment bank and taught at a public
high school in Los Angeles before moving to North Carolina as a
member of AHA’s founding faculty in 2001. “The opportunity to work
in a technologically rich environment with some of the most amazing
people I know” is why Steve LeWinter says he came to the American
Hebrew Academy. When asked about his favorite part of working at the
Academy, he simply says “The students and the faculty.”
Mr.
LeWinter enjoys playing board games and card games, swing dancing,
riding his bike, gardening, vegetarian cooking, playing fetch with
his dog, and spending time with his two daughters. His wife, Debra
is a drama teacher at AHA.
Mr. LeWinter graduated from
Claremont McKenna College with a degree in Mathematics and
Philosophy. He is a National Board Certified Teacher in Adolescent
and Young Adult Mathematics.
