During your time at the Academy, you'll learn to understand, speak, read, and write modern Hebrew.

We'll introduce you to the incredibly rich layers of the Hebrew language--Biblical, Mishnaic, Midrashic, Liturgic, Poetic--and their influence on today's modern Hebrew.

We give special attention to the Semite sister languages, Aramaic and Arabic, and the common denominator among them.

In the end, we expect students to express themselves correctly and fluently in speaking and writing. In addition to reading texts and writing extensively, you'll listen to and read breaking news about Israel on the internet.

Note: Hebrew language is required. Other language courses are offered as enrichment electives based on student interest.
