Why a boarding school? We did our homework when we planned the American Hebrew Academy. And we learned that some of the most transformational experiences happen in Jewish summer camps. One of our students calls it "living with everything Jewish." We take that idea, combine it with a rigorous college prep academic program and expand it over 10 months. We are the only Jewish educational institution that has created a comprehensive curriculum which combines the benefits of Jewish Day School education with the friendships formed by living together in a residential environment, with an intensive college prep program and experiential learning through travel. The result: You'll get to know your teachers and classmates as members of a close family.

You'll live and learn with kids who have had many different experiences with Judaism and come from all walks of life. In our school, learning includes everything and can happen anywhere: on the playing fields, over dinner, in the student houses, and sometimes where you least expect it.

Imagine 100 wooded acres, a 22-acre lake, student houses, classroom buildings, an athletic center, a health center and much more. That's the American Hebrew Academy. There's more. To start, every building is designed by Aaron Green, a former associate of legendary architect Frank Lloyd Wright. Throughout, planners have preserved natural beauty, leaving abundant woods and pathways.
