Debra LeWinter, Drama Teacher

Debra LeWinter teaches drama classes, but that’s only the beginning.  She directs drama productions, teaches swing dancing with her husband Steve, and teaches Bibliodrama (using non-performance drama games and activities to deepen an understanding of Torah). She is involved in the community, teaching drama classes at the K-8 Jewish Day School in Greensboro, B’nai Shalom.

Originally, she came to our campus accompanying her husband.  “But, once I learned about the vision for the school, I knew I had to teach here, too.”  Now that she’s been here a few years, her favorite parts of working at the Academy are “creating something new” and “the amazing students.”
